Different Forms of Verb – based on ‘Number’.


What do we mean by – ‘Number’ – in relation to – Forms of Verbs?

Number‘ refers to – ‘the number of people or things‘ – that form the ‘Subject‘ of verbs,  which means that –  

The ‘Form of the Verb’ changes – depending on – whether the Subject is – Singular, or, Plural.


If the Subject is ‘Singular‘ – then we use the words – IYouHeSheIt,  or,  a person or thing’s name.

If the subject is ‘Plural‘ – then we use the words – WeYou, and, They.


The Form of the Verbs – be,  have,  do, and action verbs, – changes – with Number.
