Gesture can mean –

Body Language: position or movement of one’s arms, hands, face and body. or .

Action: something done with a particular intention or for formality.


Examples .

  • Even though he was choosing his words very carefully, his gestures made it very clear that he was extremely angry at that person.
  • In a class, even if you make two friends sit far apart from each other, they can still communicate with each other through gestures.
  • When you have some guests coming to your house, it is a good gesture to receive them at the gate, rather than waiting for them to come inside the house by themselves.
