To keep somebody ‘in the loop‘ means to keep them informed about everything that’s happening related to a particular issue or situation.


For example.

You must keep your manager in the loop if you are planning for a long vacation.



Out of the loop .


To keep somebody ‘out of the loop‘ means – not to involve or share any information with them, regarding a particular issue or situation.


For example – .

Interns are usually kept out of the loop when it comes to important company information. This is because they are not full time employees of the company.
