How to disagree with someone politely.

Examples .

  • I’m sorry, but I don’t agree with this point.
  • I’m sorry, but I’m not completely confident about this.
  • I’m sorry but I don’t think that’s a good idea.
  • I don’t think that’s a good idea.
  • Well, I have a slightly different take on this.

Discussion Example.

Simi: I think we should give it atleast 6 months. 

Ravi: I’m sorry, but I am not completely confident about 6 months, may be we should keep it around 8 months to be on a safer side. What do you say, Karan?

Karan: Well, I have a different take on this. According to me, we should let Team A decide.

Simi: I agree with Karan. It will be better if we let Team A decide.

Ravi: Well, I don’t think that’s such a good idea. What if Team A asks for a year. We can’t stretch this for a year.

Richard: That’s true.
